Your organization's branding should be consistent across all touchpoints—your gallery website, Crafted Call interface, and communications with artists and collectors. This guide covers customizing your organization appearance and adapting Crafted Call's terminology to match your organization's language.
Accessing Organization Branding Settings
Navigate to Settings > Organization > Branding to customize your gallery's appearance. Only organization owners and admins can modify branding settings.
Uploading Your Logo
Your logo appears throughout the Crafted Call interface and in public-facing areas where your organization is referenced.
To upload a logo:
Click Upload Logo in the Branding section
Select an image file (PNG, JPG, or SVG recommended)
Choose whether to display the logo as a square icon or wide header format
Crop the image to fit your preferred display size
Click Save
Logo Best Practices:
File size: Keep logos under 500 KB for fast loading
Format: PNG with transparent background works best for flexible backgrounds
Dimensions: Square logos should be at least 200×200 pixels; wide logos at least 800×200 pixels
Simplicity: High-contrast, simple logos work better at small sizes (favicon display)

The organization header within Crafted Call
Public gallery profile pages
Email footers (if included in email templates)
Favicon (browser tab icon)
Brand Colors
Establish a consistent color palette that reflects your organization's identity.
Primary Color - Used for buttons, links, and key interface elements. Choose a color that stands out against white and light backgrounds. This is typically your organization's main brand color.
Secondary Color - Used for accents and supporting elements. This complements your primary color and adds visual interest without overwhelming the interface.
Accent Color - Optional. Used sparingly for highlights, notifications, or special states (e.g., "success" messages in green, "error" messages in red).

To set colors:
Click the color picker next to each color option
Enter a hex color code (e.g., #FF6B35) or use the visual color picker
Preview color usage in the interface
Click Save
Accessibility tip: Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background colors. Use a contrast checker tool to verify your primary and secondary colors meet WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 contrast ratio for text).
Custom Field Labels
Crafted Call uses standard terminology for common concepts: "Call," "Exhibition," "Event," "Submission," etc. Your organization may use different terms. Custom labels let you adapt the interface to match your vocabulary.
Renaming Terminology:

For each concept, enter your preferred terminology:

Tip: Keep custom labels concise and consistent with your organization's existing terminology. Avoid jargon that may confuse artists or visitors to your website.
Organization Information
Complete your organization profile to appear correctly in public galleries and submissions:
Organization Name - Your official gallery or institution name
Website URL - Link to your primary website
Contact Email - Public email for inquiries
Phone Number - Public phone number (optional)
Address - Physical location (optional)
Bio - Short description (2–3 sentences) of your organization's mission and focus
This information appears on your public gallery profile and helps artists identify your organization.
Public Gallery Profile
Your public profile is the first impression artists and collectors have of your organization on Crafted Call. Elements displayed:
Logo - Your uploaded logo
Organization name - From your organization information
Bio - Your organization description
Active calls - Currently open calls for submissions
Past exhibitions - Previous shows, if you choose to display them
Contact information - Email and website link
To customize profile visibility:
Navigate to Settings > Organization > Public Profile
Toggle visibility of sections (calls, exhibitions, team, contact)
Configure which information displays publicly
This is particularly important if your gallery wants to limit visibility to certain information or keep some exhibits private.
Favicon
Your favicon appears in browser tabs and bookmarks. This is derived from your uploaded logo, automatically scaled to 16×16 or 32×32 pixels.
If your logo is complex, consider uploading a simpler square icon optimized for small sizes. A clean, recognizable favicon improves brand recognition when users have multiple tabs open.
Email Branding
When you include your logo and colors in email templates, ensure consistency across communications:
Logo in email headers - Use the same logo as in the web interface
Color palette - Match primary colors in email buttons and accents
Font selection - Use web-safe fonts (Arial, Verdana, Georgia) for email compatibility
Footer branding - Include your organization name and contact info in email footers

Displaying Multiple Organizations
If your institution has multiple galleries, departments, or sub-brands, you may need separate Crafted Call organizations. Each organization maintains its own:
Logo and branding
Color scheme
Custom labels
Team members
Calls and exhibitions
Consider this structure if you manage distinct galleries with different branding or need separate call management. This requires multiple organization accounts.
Important note: Switching between organizations requires a separate login or administrator selection. Plan your organization structure before onboarding users.
Updating Branding
Branding changes take effect immediately across the interface. However:
Email campaigns already sent retain their original branding
Email templates update their branding when edited
Previous logo versions are not archived
If you change your branding significantly, consider creating new email templates that use your updated brand colors and logo.
